The better half just made lunch…Cat is laying at my feet watching me eat..and I am thinking of the food I dearly miss.
Being from the east coast…I miss my seafood probably the most.
Found a passable substitute for the raw oysters I miss at Fishbones Restaurant in the Greektown area. But no hard shell crabs…if anybody ever reads this and knows where I can get hard shells shoot me a comment…Where to go.
The oysters were so good st Fishbones ..we were in Virginia Beach last year and the raw oysters didn’t hold a candle to Fishbones
Hey how about I share a great recipe of mine
MARYLAND CRAB CAKES
1 lb lump crab meat
1 piece white bread ( no crust)
1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon Worcester sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
Your ready..separate lump carefully removing pieces of shell..shred white bread into very.. very small pieces..hand mix into crab…add shopped parsley..hand mixing together
Separate bowl.. mix remaining ingredients ..hand whisk egg..
Mix everything together..lightly..don’t squeeze..coating crab/bread/parsley..fry till golden brown on each side
